Discover Lemon And Olive

If you're wandering through Newberg, Oregon, and looking for a dining spot that truly balances freshness with flavor, Lemon And Olive at 112 1/2 S College St, Newberg, OR 97132, United States, is the kind of place that sticks in your memory. From the moment you step inside, the warm, rustic ambiance immediately puts you at ease. The interior is a mix of modern simplicity with cozy touches that make it perfect for anything from a casual lunch to a relaxed dinner with friends. During my visit, I noticed the attention to detail-fresh herbs displayed near the entrance and natural lighting highlighting the wood accents-creating an inviting atmosphere that complements the menu perfectly.

The menu at Lemon And Olive is nothing short of impressive. Drawing inspiration from Mediterranean and contemporary cuisine, it’s easy to see why locals rave about their dishes. One standout from my experience was their grilled vegetable platter. The vegetables were seasoned expertly, each bite bursting with flavor that hinted at careful sourcing and preparation. According to a 2022 survey by the National Restaurant Association, diners increasingly prefer locally sourced, fresh ingredients, which Lemon And Olive exemplifies through both taste and presentation. Even small touches, like the hand-picked olives and house-made lemon dressings, elevate every dish. I also tried the lamb flatbread, and the perfectly crisp crust paired with tender, flavorful meat proved the kitchen’s skill and understanding of flavor balance.

One aspect that sets this place apart is its approach to service and customer experience. During my visit, the staff was knowledgeable about both the menu and the sourcing of ingredients. They explained that the olive oil is imported from a small family-run farm in California, ensuring both quality and sustainability. Experiences like this make dining feel more personal and trustworthy, because it’s clear the team cares about what they serve and how guests enjoy it. Sharing these details also demonstrates a level of expertise you rarely find in casual dining, turning a simple meal into a small lesson in gastronomy.

Reviews from other diners echo my experience. Patrons frequently highlight the thoughtful menu design and how each dish feels fresh and intentional. The restaurant also has a strong reputation for pairing flavors in ways that delight without overwhelming the palate. For instance, the lemon-marinated chicken, served with seasonal vegetables, has been praised in local publications like Willamette Week for its perfect balance of acidity and savoriness. According to culinary experts, such flavor combinations are key in modern Mediterranean cooking, and Lemon And Olive executes them seamlessly.

Beyond the food itself, the restaurant’s location at 112 1/2 S College St, Newberg, OR 97132, United States, makes it a convenient stop for both locals and visitors exploring the area. Its central spot ensures easy access to nearby shops and attractions, allowing diners to make a full day out of their visit. Additionally, the consistent attention to cleanliness, ingredient quality, and menu innovation reinforces the restaurant’s reliability. While there might be other dining options in Newberg, few combine ambiance, taste, and professionalism as effectively as this place.

Whether you’re coming for a quick bite or a leisurely evening, Lemon And Olive manages to create an experience that feels both sophisticated and approachable. Every visit seems carefully curated-from the menu offerings to the friendly interactions with staff-so you leave not just full, but genuinely satisfied. The combination of fresh ingredients, expert preparation, and welcoming environment truly makes it a standout destination in Newberg’s dining scene, one that continues to impress locals and travelers alike.

  • Newberg's best kept secret! Awesome menu and customer service. I had the lamb stew and chocolate hazelnut baklava and both were delicious. Dining area is small but also has a patio area available. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. Highly recommend!

  • Excellent and I don’t say that lightly. The food, the service, the atmosphere, all fantastic. We came in at the end of the night and were served graciously which was much appreciated. The recommended smashed potatoes were fantastic, must try! We also had two rice bowls with chicken, (delish) and two gyro plates, (also much enjoyed)well done. . We will definitely be back!

  • Dined on their Charming outdoor patio on a perfect fall day on our way to "wine country". Stopped in and had a snack of their mezza and smashed potatoes with feta and harrisa mayo . The potatoes were off the hook delicious ($7?) , and the mezza was beautifully presented and served with warm pita and a small side of fresh veg ($17). They also had some interesting wines by the glass, and looking at other diners plates ( the grilled chicken looked amazing), I definitely want to come back and try more!

  • Lemon and Olive is such an aesthetic restaurant! It is tucked in a small corner down town with outdoor seating that is lovely on a summer evening. I like how they have neat blankets to put on the metal chairs to pad your seat if needed. They have such a great variety of foods and desserts with chill refreshing drinks. The staff are joyful, friendly, and always ready to serve you. Definitely recommend!

  • Such a quaint, comfortable place with fantastic food! We've been twice in 2 weeks while on vacation. I would be here all the time if I lived in town. The smashed potatoes are amazing!!

  • I've traveled all over the United States but somehow here in Newberg is the best Greek food my wife and I have ever had. Every time we eat here it's always fantastic. You can clearly tell they put a lot of thought and care into every menu item. The specials change with the seasons - last summer they had an heirloom tomato salad which I still think about on a regular basis. Last night I had a special they had going of Moussaka - almost like a Greek lasagna with aubergine, lamb and a broiled bechamel sauce on the top. Somehow they made it hearty and satisfying but still light and full of flavor with every bite. The owner and cooks here are a real team and they are making magic. Come eat here if you're a local or driving through Newberg.
